Hutchinson Engineering has recently secured a further contract from Granada Handling for Davit Crane fabrication on the Moray East Offshore Wind Farm.
This follows on earlier successful work for Granada on both the Beatrice and Triton Knoll projects - and consolidates the company’s leading position in the offshore Tier 2 market sector.
Besides the Granada Davit Crane awards, Hutchinson has successfully completed other offshore fabrication work for Smulders, Sif, Bam and MHI Vestas in the UK and other parts of Europe over the past five years.
Our expansion into the renewable sector has led to further growth and the opening of new facilities for our specialist fabrication and coatings operations. This now includes quayside fabrication and marine load out onto the River Mersey for export opportunities; this is in addition to the recent investment in CNC precision machining capabilities.
All this is part of a planned diversification into offshore using our expertise in volume production and lean manufacturing techniques.
